Our owner and president, Joan R. Walters, obtained her BS degree from Central Michigan University and her MA from Western Michigan University in Personnel and Counseling. Her background includes 10 years in Human Resources in Automotive Manufacturing and 25+ years in Engineering Recruitment. She specializes in the placement of architectural and engineering professionals for A&E and E&A firms. She holds a CPC from The National Association of Personnel Consultants.
JOAN WALTERS

Following a successful career working with executive search firms placing direct hire and contract professionals in the A/E/C industry, Joan founded JR WALTERS RESOURCES, INC. in 1993.
Before joining executive search firms, she worked as an HR Manager in automotive manufacturing.
Joan has an MA in Personnel and Counseling from Western Michigan University and a BS from Central Michigan University. She holds the CPC certification from The National Association of Personnel Consultants

She is the past president for EPWA (Executive and Professional Business Women's Association). She currently is on the Board of the SWMI SHRM chapter as the Past President. She serves as an Ambassador for the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she was awarded Ambassador of the year in 2007 and 2013.
She is an active volunteer with a number of community organizations
